Deanery and diocesan wide collaborative events especially in Justice Ministry, including:
  • Annual Justice Immersion (coffeehouse style kick off evening with music, skits, keynote, global justice game followed by a day long immersion into hands on justice experiential discovery ending in a justice mass). For more details see Justice Immersion information.
  • Collaborative developer and leader (with founding director Perrin Brady) for 6 years of God Walk:
  • 2002 and 2003, a 2 day and 6 day service and walking pilgrimage for youth and young adults and
  • God Walk 2004 an 8 day immersion/pilgrimage experiences, collaboratively with director, Perrin Brady, and young adult team.
  • 2005 and 2006 San Jose God Walk 2005, a 3 day event in the San Jose area with 5 deanery churches participanting as collaborators,
  • San Jose God Walk 2007 a 5 day event in Oakland and San Francisco.

Ministries under this direction included:

  • Direction of Catechetical Ministry, preschool through high school at 2 church/school locations (Our Lady of the Rosary and St. Albert the Great) for a 3 church parish.
  • Sacrament preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist for children and youth.
  • Adults: Parent Education (sacrament prep), catechist training, leadership training, Take Another Look for returning Catholics (deanery team 1998-2003), special specific issue programs and series for adults and parents of youth and children, family catechetical days. Team development and training.
  • RCIA/CIC for children and youth in preparation for Rites of Christian Initiation.
  • Director and catechist for 2 year comprehensive high school Confirmation program, 2 tracks collaboratively with St. Athanasius in Mountain View (2001-2004), including retreat direction, service direction and YM core team.

  • Tahoe High School Retreat Camp Week: (2000-2004) 2001 Programming Lead, 2002-- 2003 Catechetical Workshops Lead. 2004 Director of Workshops and Justice track.
  • Annual Justice Coffeehouses (Solidarity Cafe),
  • Annual Passion Play for high school youth, including directing and producing The Passover of the Lord video project (a Passion Play movie videotaped at Mission San Antonio), seasonal coffeehouses, battle of the bands, summer California Missions Trip and other special events and service events.
